Programs for daycare centres
- Daycares offering services to 10 or more children will be considered "centres".
- A teacher will be assigned to your daycare.
- All instruments are provided during class.
- A daycare provider must be present during class.
- Classes are offered in groups of no more than 10 children at a time.
- Your teacher will arrive a few minutes early for class. Access to the building must be arranged if an alarm or other security device is in place.
- Hourly rate is $33.00, regardless of how many groups or children there are.
- 10-week minimum.
- Variations’ team is available from September to June. Summer sessions may also be available based on teacher availability.
– Babes from birth to approx. 1 year of age
This class is a 15 to 30 minute musical interlude for infants. Through movement, little ones will listen and discover various musical styles and rock, dance, play, sing (or vocalize!) and jump around in order to find their inner rhythm. Please note, all instruments used during class are safe and washed daily.

– little ones approx. 18 to 30 months
In this 30 minute class, children will discover the sounds and rhythms of the world around us and within us. Using songs, games and instruments, children will be exposed to musical concepts such as pitch, dynamics, rhythm, tempo. Classes are created with little musicians in mind and always include movement, singing, instruments, listening activities and play. Every child is different and and progresses at his pace. This in mind, children are encouraged but never forced to participate.

– children 3 to 5 years old
Through songs, games and instruments, children taking this 30 or 45 minute class will be exposed to musical concepts such as pitch, dynamics, rhythm and tempo as well as basic theory including the musical staff, notes and their values, clefs and rests. A wide variety of instruments are included in this program including piano (keyboard), xylophone, recorder, guitar, maracas, cymbals, rhythm sticks, drums, etc.
Classes are created with little musicians in mind and always include movement, singing, instruments, listening activities and play. Every child is different and and progresses at his pace. This in mind, children are encouraged but never forced to participate.

– children 4 and 5 years of age
This 45 minute class is a first discovery of the piano (keyboard). It will help preschoolers discover this popular instrument. Important elements of the Initiation to Music class will be reviewed and basic theory will be further explored. Among the many elements in this program, children will learn where and how to place there hands and fingers on the keyboard, to read basic music and to identify both clefs. At the end of the session, most children are playing a variety of short, simple one-hand (sometimes two-handed) melodies. Classes are created with little musicians in mind and always include movement, singing, instruments, listening activities and play. Every child is different and and progresses at his pace. This in mind, children are encouraged but never forced to participate.
This program runs for a maximum of 16 weeks. Children may then register for private piano instruction.

This 45 minute class is a first discovery of the violin. It will help preschoolers discover this popular instrument. Important elements of the Initiation to Music class will be reviewed and basic theory will be further explored. Among the many elements in this program, children will learn how to hold the instrument correctly and to play fun techniques such as trills, pizzicatto, etc. At the end of the session, some children are playing the beginnings of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. Classes are created with little musicians in mind and always include movement, singing, instruments, listening activities and play. Every child is different and and progresses at his pace. This in mind, children are encouraged but never forced to participate.
This program runs for a maximum of 16 weeks. Children may then register for private violin instruction.
